The Energy Infrastructure Transition Practice carries out projects to help clients transition their energy infrastructure towards a future-proofed, net-zero future.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Management

  • Contribute to developing and delivering a growing portfolio of clean energy infrastructure projects.
  • Deliver time-sensitive technical analysis for a mix of private organisations, industry bodies, and public sector clients; work within teams to achieve client satisfaction, timely delivery, strong project financial performance, and high-quality technical outputs.
  • Lead project management tasks for projects in the Clean Energy Infrastructure field, including mobilisation, governance, reporting, client liaison, and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to wider energy infrastructure transition projects with support from expert consultants.
  • Lead the development of technical proposals within the energy sector with ad hoc support across the wider team.

Client Relationships & Thought Leadership

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships and networks.
  • Support key account management to grow client relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector technology developments, trends, challenges, and regulations.
  • Provide thought leadership on energy infrastructure transition topics, including presenting at industry events where possible.

Additional/Special Features

  • Some domestic and/or international travel may be required for project meetings, sector conferences, etc.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree level or higher in electrical engineering, renewable energy, energy transition (supported by technical/infrastructure experience), sustainable infrastructure, or power systems.
  • Demonstrable expertise in technical delivery in the renewables and/or power sector, with interest in energy infrastructure or project implementation.
  • Experience in consultancy or demonstrable relevant delivery of consultancy projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a multidisciplinary team across geographies.
  • Confidence presenting to varying audiences, including senior client representatives.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and strong reporting writing skills.

Desirable

  • Experience managing complex consultancy or implementation projects.
  • Experience building projects and securing new work via proactive engagement or bidding for tenders.
  • Industry contacts to support opportunities and build client relationships.
  • Familiarity with technical analysis methods and tools including Cost Benefit Analysis, quantitative scenarios, and modelling.
  • Experience with renewable energy systems or smart port technologies is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in other languages (particularly Spanish or other European languages) is a bonus but not essential.
