New environmental legislation and changing expectations create opportunities within the water industry.The Developer Services team provides reliable and helpful service to property developers and domestic/commercial customers. You will join an open and informative team committed to high service levels.Where you fit inYou will provide customers with high-quality initial technical advice related to clean water matters and support while maintaining the integrity of Yorkshire Water assets and complying with guidelines and regulations. You will enable quick initial technical applications so that a quote can be provided within service level agreements for the Connections Technicians.ResponsibilitiesReview all types of clean water applications to ensure required information is gatheredMonitor suspense account to locate any application fee paymentsRespond to written and telephone enquiries from external customers in line with regulated service standardsAccurately update regulatory records (Water UK submission spreadsheets) promptlyProcess checklists and raise all appropriate jobs for the Service Delivery Partner within SLAsRaise remedial work orders to the Delivery Team when issues are identified with previous workAccurately process lead and disconnection job packs through to customers using Yorbill and surveyor feedbackManage allocated work streams to prioritise SLAs and meet Water UK targetsComplete all work items within SLAs to meet Water UK targetsProduce accurate and relevant management information when requiredRequired skills and experienceExperience/knowledge of Developer Services clean water operations is preferredAppreciation of the technical knowledge required for clean water networksFlexible and resilient to adapt to continuous changeStrong customer service skills and experience handling customer queriesAbility to interpret customer requirements and gather all necessary informationConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and work across the businessGood influencing and negotiating skills; able to manage a varied workload with tight timescalesExcellent customer service with empathy for customersStrong numeracy and data manipulation skillsExcellent IT skills; experience with Yorkshire Water systems (ICE, Odyssey, SAP, Yorbill, Lotus Notes, Survey Feedback Repository) is helpful, with full training provided; strong Excel/Word/SharePoint skills are essentialWorking patternsYorkshire Water operates 24/7; flexible working patterns and job share options are supported where possible to help work-life balance.How to applyIf you have strong experience in customer services and administration and want to help deliver great service while protecting the environment, apply online with a CV and covering letter detailing why you are a suitable candidate.Recruitment process: Closing date – 19 September 2025.
