Overview An opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Estates & Facilities Cleaning Services Department as a Facilities Supervisor. The post holder will work as part of the existing Cleaning Services Management Team supervising a team of Cleaning Services Assistants in the provision of a high quality customer focused quality cleaning service. They will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation, control and training of the Cleaning Services Assistants to ensure quality delivery through direct supervision. There is a necessity to comply with the Trusts policies and procedures, and have an understanding of confidentiality. Support Assistant Facilities Manager to monitor, maintain and improve the quality of service. To maintain and improve the quality of service by undertaking audits Ensuring that all risk assessments are up-to-date Record information regarding extra activity and provide to Assistant Facilities Manager in a timely manner. To ensure expenditure is managed with the budget for the dedicated service area. Understand and apply all HR Policies & Procedures appropriately Assist the recruitment and selection and induction of new staff and development of existing staff. Identify underachieving services and/or individuals and escalate to Assistant Facilities Manager as appropriate. Assist the Assistant Facilities Manager to undertake investigations within the Human Resources Trust policies. Undertake Individual Performance review (IPR) and agree Personal Development Plan (PDP). To ensure all record and filing systems, both manual and electronic are maintained in an efficient manner in line with relevant Trust policies. Understand principles of Information Governance and act within the policy. Maintain systems to measure service provision against set quality standards. Assist the audit procedures to monitor service and ensure that relevant documentation is fully and accurately maintained at all times.
