Overview

Head Veterinary Nurse vacancy in a first opinion small animal practice in the Penzance area of Cornwall. Role: Head RVN with responsibility for leading nursing staff and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor the nursing team; day-to-day running of the nurse team
• Maintain high nursing standards, organise nurse rota, process insurance claims and optimise workflow
• Collaborate with a team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 2 receptionists
• Ensure excellent patient and client care and support ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Qualified Vet Nurse
• Registered with RCVS
• Strong general nursing skills
• Ability to lead, manage and mentor a nursing team

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
