Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Street Cleaning Operative to join our team in Gloucester. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining clean and safe public spaces across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
Litter picking and emptying public litter bins
Weed removal and clearing fallen leaves
Collection and safe disposal of fly-tipped waste and other hazardous materials
Driving a 3.5-tonne Transit van to and from designated routes (valid UK driving license required)
Following daily collection schedules and working as part of a mobile or static team
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Requirements:
Valid UK driving licence (required to drive a 3.5T Transit van)
Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a small team
Previous experience in street cleansing, grounds maintenance or a similar role is beneficial but not essential
