Street Cleaner

Belmont Recruitment are looking to recruit a Street Cleaner to join Bradford Council's Envrionmental Services Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for keeping public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming, ensuring high standards of environmental care across highways, footpaths, verges, landscaped areas, and street furniture. Duties include:

Litter picking, sweeping, graffiti and chewing gum removal.

Emptying and cleaning litter bins, ballot bins, and reporting damaged street furniture.
*
Carrying out minor grounds maintenance (grass cutting, hedge trimming, weed spraying).
*
Using tools and equipment such as litter pickers, brushes, blowers, small sweepers, and graffiti wipes.
*
Reporting environmental issues, abandoned vehicles, or community concerns to supervisors.
*
Providing excellent customer service when engaging with members of the public.
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in street cleansing, grounds maintenance, or environmental services desirable.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining public spaces.
*
Flexibility to cover a range of environmental duties.
