As a Street Cleaner/Driver, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of Cardiff’s city centre and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include driving, general maintenance, litter picking, digging up pavements, street cleaning, and landscaping. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the streets are not only clean but also safe and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough litter picking across designated areas to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Use appropriate tools and techniques to ensure streets are free of debris and presentable at all times.

Engage in various maintenance tasks such as digging up pavements for necessary repairs and conducting minor landscaping duties. Ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently, following best practice with basic landscaping tasks to enhance the visual appeal of public areas. This includes planting, weeding, and other horticultural activities as to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the general public. Be proactive in identifying potential hazards and resolving issues closely with other team members to coordinate efforts and achieve collective goals. Your role will require effective communication and collaboration to ensure seamless operations.
