Rate of Pay: £12.21- £15.77 per hour

Summary:

As a Static Cleaner for Cardiff Council, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within designated Community Living Schemes and associated facilities. You will ensure that all areas, including communal spaces, offices, restrooms, and kitchens, are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an excellent cleaning service that supports the health and well-being of all building users.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in all designated areas.
• Ensure that waste bins are emptied regularly and disposed of correctly, following recycling and waste management procedures.
• Adhere to Cardiff Councils health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Support additional cleaning requirements during special events, deep cleans, or emergency situations as directed.

Essentials:

• Awareness of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures (COSHH awareness desirable).
• Understanding of health and safety and infection control practices.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in a residential, care, or hospitality environment.
• Experience using cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or vacuum cleaners
