We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of key programmes across our Water Network- with a specific focus on two of our highest priority areas: the Mains Renewal Programme & Rehabilitation Programme.

You’ll play a central role in upgrading and protecting the infrastructure that serves millions of customers every day.
This role is all about managing this complex, multi-layered project from end to end.
You’ll lead planning, governance, risk and change management while keeping a firm grip on time, cost and quality targets.
You’ll work across-functionally, influence multiple stakeholders, and ensure that each phase of delivery is primed for long-term success.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities Lead the planning, management and successful delivery of Water Network projects in line with established governance frameworks, ensuring high standards across time, cost and quality.
Oversee a portfolio of projects, including high-priority programmes such as the Mains Renewal & Rehabilitation schemes, ensuring alignment with business goals and service standards.
Define project scope and objectives, develop robust delivery plans and lead teams to achieve agreed outcomes.
Maintain clear oversight of milestones, interdependencies and risks-proactively communicating progress and addressing issues to avoid delays or missed targets.
Take full ownership of project plans, including managing scope, change and risk to ensure successful delivery against agreed success criteria and financial expectations (LBE) Prepare compelling business cases and regular progress reports for key stakeholders and project sponsors, ensuring transparent and accountability.
Provide inclusive and effective matrix management across multiple teams, supporting collaboration, clarity and high performance.
Technical Skills & Experience Sound knowledge of clean water operations, ideally with direct experience in delivering projects.
Can clearly demonstrate hands-on experience managing or supporting projects across the clean water network, with a good understand of operational challenges and service priorities.
Brings practical experience or formal knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and/or familiarity with working within AMP frameworks.
Proven experience of leading people within project teams, with the ability to motivate, influence, and coordinate cross-functional colleagues to deliver shared objectives.
Have a track record of delivering against time, cost and quality measures-and can evidence how you’ve handled risk, change and stakeholder expectations.
Demonstrate experience working with MS project packages such as Netbase, SAP, CRMs and similar project/asset management tools.
