This role is key to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors, supporting the smooth running and success of our school. About the Role As a School Cleaner, you will carry out daily and ad-hoc cleaning duties to ensure all areas of the school are hygienic and welcoming. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and contribute to the wellbeing of our school community. Key Responsibilities Clean surfaces, fixtures, fittings, floors, walls, and internal woodwork in line with the cleaning schedule Maintain toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas to the highest standards Undertake special cleaning projects during school closures or designated periods Collect and dispose of waste appropriately and ensure consumables are refilled Keep cleaning supplies organised, secure, and easily accessible Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance needs promptly Support the creation of a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment Who We’re Looking For Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic with attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and willing to take on additional duties as required Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential If you are committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming school environment, we would love to hear from you.
