Job location: Caythorpe NG32 area Pay rate: from £13.21 per hour | weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7am-7pm Industry: Waste & Recycling Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Cleaner to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in Caythorpe NG32 area. As a Maintenance Cleaner you will provide cleaning services for a variety of recycling equipment, remove debris, waste, and recyclables from sorting lines, conveyors, scrapers, idlers, rollers, motors, and other machinery, ensuring proper disposal in designated areas. The position requires physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and work in a potentially dusty, noisy, and odorous setting. This is not a Janitor, Office or Warehouse Cleaning job. Duties & Responsibilities Remove debris, waste, and recyclables from machinery, ensuring proper disposal in designated areas Cleaning of large-scale spaces and heavy machinery or equipment Ensure that the working environment is kept clean, tidy and free from hazards, and that materials are stored safely at all times Use pressure washers and industrial vacuums to clean the plant, machinery and surrounding area Engineering maintenance cleaning support Work in confined spaces when the need arises Undertake basic manual work such as removing and replacing machine guards and covers to clean affected areas of machinery Personal Specification Ability to meet the physical demands of the role Experience working within busy environments with time pressures Awareness of electrical and mechanical hazards within the plant Capability to work standing for extended periods as required by the role Knowledge and care for fire detection and extinguishing equipment Manual handling and working with hand tools Why Join Us?
