OverviewWorks autonomously within the ECHO Department. Reporting and scanning patients. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiologist to support the expansion of the Stress ECHO service as well as supporting other exciting developments like the Physiologist Led Valve Clinic. The Physiologist will also have the opportunity to take part in Clinical Trials and produce Clinical papers and present them at Meetings.Harefield is a great place to work really friendly. Participate in training and teaching and will be supported in maintaining BSE accreditation.ResponsibilitiesReport and scan patients within the ECHO Department and support the expansion of the Stress ECHO service and related developments (e.g., Physiologist Led Valve Clinic).Take part in Clinical Trials and contribute to clinical papers and presentations at meetings.Take part in ward portables and day-to-day lists; manage ward discharge echoes on a weekend rota basis as required.Engage in extra duties including projects and audits as part of the role.Contribute to training and teaching activities and support maintenance of BSE accreditation.Demonstrate high level clinical and technical expertise in Echocardiography with proven competence to perform and report studies at an independent level; Adult BSE accreditation (or equivalent) is mandatory.Provide support with Stress Echo, TOE and research; previous experience in these areas would be advantageous.Make individual clinical decisions regarding cardiac ultrasound readings, reviewing the patient’s clinical history and liaising with senior medical staff to explain needs for medical treatment or intervention.Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to the Echo Cardiology department and Trust quality/process improvement project groups as applicable.QualificationsHigh level of clinical and technical expertise in Echocardiography.Independent-level competence in performing and reporting echocardiography studies.Adult BSE accreditation (or equivalent).Experience supporting Stress Echo, TOE and research is advantageous.Must be highly self-motivated, well organised, flexible and reliable; able to teach and learn within the field of echocardiography.This advert closes on Sunday 28 Sep 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
