General Assistant - Cleaning

Grosvenor house is a residential Service for homeless families. The service accommodates 18 families for short term placements as more independent housing solutions are sourced. During this time families are supported in a person-centred approach helping them to address issues which may have led to their homelessness. The team are looking for a part time Cleaner to assist with the running of the building. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out cleaning duties as required.
  • Working in line with all relevant legislation and guidelines to protect clients, colleagues, staff and visitors from abuse, accident, or injury.

    • The successful candidate(s) will also need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in cleaning and the proper use of cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively to a high standard and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow a cleaning schedule to ensure all the building is cleaned on a weekly basis
  • Commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army
