About the roleTo provide a front-line service in line with Powys Council policies and procedures. Responsible for the cleaning / closing / security (as per local arrangements) of a PCC premise. To be an out of hours key holder. To provide the service by the efficient use of the labour available, to the standard laid down by the specification. To be responsible for the supervision of cleaning personnel. Promoting of the service through daily customer awareness.About youAbility to complete stock records, time sheets, etcLiteracy and numeracy skillsWhat you will doSupervision of all cleaning employees, the allocation of duties in times of staff shortagesAttend relative training as required and assist with on-job training of cleaning staff on siteCleaning floor areas by the means of vacuuming, machine polishing, machine scrubbing, wet/dry sweeping/moppingCleaning furniture and work surfacesCleaning toilet areas, w.c. pans, urinals, handbasins, mirrors and replenishing toilet tissue, hand towels, soap.Emptying and cleaning of waste / recycling bins replenishing litter bin bags and removing any waste to the refuse compoundRemoving dirty marks from walls, doors, and internal windows up to head heightHigh level cleaning using extending equipmentMaintaining stock records. Ordering, checking and correct storage of cleaning equipment and materials.This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
