OverviewGloucestershire's largest comprehensive school with over 200 staff and approximately 1,800 students is seeking a Cleaning Assistant and Key Holder to join its team. The role is part-time, 27.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with the following shifts: Monday to Thursday 4:30pm – 10:30pm and Friday 4pm – 10pm.ResponsibilitiesProvide an efficient and timely cleaning service across the school.Support the Sports Centre with lettings, activity set-ups, and internal and external events.Provide cover for the Sports Centre Duty Manager; in their absence oversee the running of the Sports Centre and opening/closing of facilities.Maintain cleanliness of the site and fitness suite, including litter picking and bin emptying.Carry out cleaning duties in allocated areas to the required standard and within the allocated time (areas may change as required).Clean all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings by appropriate method within the designated area (excluding any technical equipment).Clean all hard and soft floor surfaces within the designated area using the appropriate method and machinery when necessary.Check that windows are closed and lights are off before leaving the area.Ensure materials and equipment are used safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.Ensure that all equipment used is cleaned before returning to stores.Follow health and safety guidelines at all times and safeguard your own safety and that of others.Requirements / QualificationsCommitment to complete relevant training.Experience working as a cleaner, housekeeper, or similar cleaning role.Knowledge of cleaning systems and basic COSHH awareness.High standards of work and reliability.Willingness to undertake relevant training courses for health and safety purposes.What’s in it for you?Attractive salary and pension.Generous annual leave entitlement.Free one-to-one wellbeing support.Family-friendly policies.Onsite parking facilities and cycle storage.Free/discounted access to the school's gym.Cycle to work scheme.Blue Light Card discount scheme.Techscheme to save on technology purchases.Staff social events and a wide range of statutory benefits including sick pay and parental leave.Enhanced paternity leave policy.Application detailsClose date: Friday 17 October at 09:00.
