Are you a reliable and trustworthy individual looking for a flexible role? NRW People is excited to offer a fantastic temporary Grade 1 Cleaner position with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, based at Newmarket Walk. Starting 16 October 2025, this 8-week role covers a vacancy pending review, offering a perfect part-time opportunity to contribute to a clean and welcoming community space.

What You’ll Do:
Deliver a high-quality cleaning service, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins (following recycling procedures), and polishing surfaces.
Maintain offices, corridors, kitchens, and toilets at the Civic Centre and Unit 5, with occasional work across various Council buildings.
Ensure cleanliness and order, report low materials to administration, and uphold health and safety standards.
Work a flexible 8-hour weekly pattern at the town centre hub, making a positive impact with every shift.

What We’re Looking For:
A dependable individual with an awareness of health and safety, a flexible attitude, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable, along with an organised approach and a positive customer care mindset (training provided if needed).
Ability to work 8 hours/week on a flexi schedule, with willingness to travel to different Council sites in Merthyr Tydfil.
Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to CF47 8EL.
