Clean Energy Construction: Senior Associate/Managing Associate/Director/Partner - Bristol/London/Leeds

Overview

We are looking for a talented Clean Energy Construction lawyer to join our busy team. Candidates should have at least 4 years of construction, commercial and/or projects experience within the clean energy sector, although we would also welcome applications from those with transactional experience within the sector.

Responsibilities

• BESS supply agreements (including with major world-renowned BESS manufacturers)
• EPC contracts
• O&Ms and LTAs
• Component warranties
• Clean energy project developments, acquisitions and disposals

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction, commercial and/or projects experience in the clean energy sector; transactional experience within the sector is also welcome.
• Familiarity with technologies including BESS, solar PV, wind, hydro, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure and/or district heating would be an advantage.

Team and Location

This role may be based out of any of Freeths' 13 offices, including Bristol, London and Leeds. You will work with the Bristol-based Energy Construction Partner and collaborate with the National Head of Clean Energy in London and the Leeds-based Clean Energy Partner, with additional support from colleagues across Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield and Nottingham. A wider sector team of approximately 90 lawyers across related practice areas supports the team.
