We are looking for a Specialist Heritage Cleaning Team Leader to join our Department of Facilities and Estates at the House of Lords. This is a full-time role that requires the post-holder to be on site between 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday.

This is an exciting position where you will participate with heritage cleaning duties during projects, ensuring the preservation of a UNESCO world heritage site and Parliamentary Heritage Collections. You will manage a team of Heritage Cleaning Specialists, providing advice on the appropriate materials and equipment to be used on historic items, building skills and capabilities across the time and prioritising and managing their daily workload and essential activities.

You will work closely with Parliamentary Architects and Collections teams to ensure heritage maintenance and cleaning programmes are in place and there is a clear reporting line for any risk or damage to the collections and fabric of the building. We are looking for a candidate with the skills, abilities, experience and collaborative approach to build on the excellent work already undertaken and further develop the team for the future. Through effective planning and organisational skills implement changes to the Heritage Cleaning Specialist Team structure to include the Heritage Collections Teams, maintaining careful oversight of the transition process.
