The overall purpose of the job is to provide clean and fuelled vehicles that are in the right place at the right time. This should be completed in a safe, efficient and economical manner employing such skills and knowledge as may be required with due regard to current legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· To clean inside and out of all Company or contracted vehicles, including chassis, as detailed by the supervisor or charge hands.
· To fuel and record accurate fuelling data on Company or contracted vehicles.
· Observe, recognise and report on vehicle component defects.
· Move Company vehicles to their required destination either within their allotted depot or between depots.
· Cover cleaning/shunter duties at other Company depots due to holidays, sickness or staff shortages.
· Carry out buildings or yard cleaning as detailed by the supervisor or charge hand.
· Collect and deliver stores etc between Company depots or contractors used by the Company.
· Perform any ancillary duties which maybe required from time to time.
· In addition to the foregoing the post holder will be expected to carry out any additional duties as directed by his supervisor / management which they deem is within the job holders capabilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £13.02 per hour
