– School Cleaner

Position: School Cleaner Location: RM3 9YA Contract: Monday to Friday 3pm - 6pm Salary: £13 - £16 an hour Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our site team. The successful candidate will help ensure the school is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, creating a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas daily.

*

Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of in line with school procedures.

*

Refill hygiene supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls) as needed.

*

Wipe down desks, chairs, and equipment, paying attention to high-touch areas.

*

Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors across the site.

*

Carry out deep cleaning during school holidays or as required.

*

Report any damages, faults, or health and safety concerns to the Site Manager.

*

Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored safely and used in line with COSHH regulations.

Person Specification

Essential:

*

Previous experience in cleaning (school or similar environment desirable).

*

Awareness of health and safety, including safe use of cleaning products.

*

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

*

Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Desirable:

*

Experience working in a school or education setting.

*

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
