We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

You will be responsible for ensuring classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard, following the school’s cleaning schedules and health & safety guidelines.

Job Title: Primary School Cleaner

Location: Read

Hours: 2pm – 7pm (Monday – Friday)

Contract Type: Temporary – full-time

Key Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins, and wiping surfaces.
• Cleaning toilets and washrooms to a high standard.
• Ensuring cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and stored securely.
• Reporting any hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
• Working independently and as part of a team to maintain a high standard of hygiene across the school.

About You

We are seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in cleaning within a business, industrial or school environment (essential).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.
• A good communicator and team player.
• Aware of health & safety and COSHH regulations (training can be provided).
• Committed to maintaining a safe and clean learning environment for children.
