About the Home

Located in the residential seaside suburb of Somerton Park, just a short drive away from the beach and nearby Marion Shopping Centre. Our Home offers all levels of permanent, respite and palliative care whilst encouraging independence and lifestyle choices that suit the needs of every individual.

Reporting to the Hospitality Coordinator we are actively seeking experienced Hospitality Assistants to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis. As part of our hospitality team, Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our homes.

Week 1 Thursday 0700-1430 & Week 2 Tuesday 0700-1300 plus additional temp shifts to support leave coverage.

The Role

  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and always maintained at a high standard.
  • Vacuuming, mopping and polishing floors.
  • Dusting, polishing and general tidying.
  • Cleaning bathroom facilities.
  • Attending to residents' personal requirements by ensuring the cleanliness of bedside cupboards, tables and other equipment or furniture located in the residents' room.
  • Assist with the provision of a safe, efficient and hygienic care service through maintaining a clean environment and adhering to infection control practices.
  • Replenish and restock cleaning trolleys as required.

To be successful, you will have

  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
  • Complete a NDIS workers check/ Police Clearance
  • Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain during flu season)
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
