Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitise various areas of the workplace, including offices, classrooms, break rooms, and common areas, to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for staff, students, and visitors.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and other surfaces to remove dirt, debris, and allergens, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance.
- Collect, separate, and dispose of trash, recyclables, and hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations, promoting a clean and eco-friendly workspace.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other consumables as needed, ensuring that essential items like hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are always available.
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel, helping to address issues such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged equipment promptly to maintain a safe and functional workplace.

Main Tasks:
- Use cleaning materials as instructed by the Cleaning Manager and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mop/wash all hard floor surfaces, including machine clean, as directed by the Facilities Manager and Domestic Services Manager.
- Empty and clean bins and remove all rubbish to designated areas.
- Undertake spot cleans as required and directed by the Facilities Manager and Domestic Services Manager.
- Attend to spillages, clear and clean as required.
- Ensure appropriate wet floor signage is displayed during the floor drying process.
- Replenish toilet rolls and hand soaps to toilets as required.
- Report all defects to the Domestic Services Manager immediately.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mop/wash all hard floor surfaces, including machine clean, as directed by the Facilities Manager and Domestic Services Manager.

Essential Criteria
- Be willing to undertake appropriate training on any current and new equipment to aid the cleaning process.
- Understanding of cleaning chemical usage restrictions and protocols.
- Previous experience in the building cleaning industry.
- The ability to identify and use the appropriate cleaning products and methods in certain areas
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Builds positive relationships with others, maintaining mutual trust, candour and respect.
