Job Description
Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League are looking for a Cleaning Operative to support the day to day running of its operations across all properties in the Club’s portfolio. The role will be based at the bet365 Stadium, but you may also be required to work at the Clayton Wood Training Ground, the Academy indoor facility and other facilities as needed.
The position will be offered on a full time basis, and all relevant training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be available to work evenings and weekends to cover matchday fixtures and other adhoc events at the bet365 Stadium.
The successful applicant will work with a busy, friendly team cleaning all aspects of the stadium and hospitality areas as well as covering match day and post-match requirements. Please note, this is a year round position and not seasonal.
Main responsibilities
- Performing general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
- Managing waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Completing cleaning duties to a high standard while adhering to cleaning schedules, company processes and policies.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of COSHH regulations and ensuring safe handling, storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals.

- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach.
- Ability to work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
- Consistently professional and well presented.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A full UK driving license is desirable.
