Hours Required: 30 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.

The dynamic role of a Steward Captain means no 2 days are the same at TOCA Social! You are responsible for bringing together multiple elements of our guests' journey together to deliver memorable experiences! We’re passionate about training and developing all our teammates to support their career progression and help them become legends, so you may receive training within other departments to support the venue as and when necessary!

Role Scope & Responsibilities:

We’re searching for a Steward Captain who will work closely with all teammates and venue leadership teams to oversee daily operations, ensuring guests experience a memorable visit. This is a crucial role in supporting and developing our venue teams, by being their go-to for support. Some of your responsibilities will include: 

• Supporting seamless venue operations and experiences for all guests 
• Managing teammates to TOCA Social standards, meeting targets and ensuring all teammates are shift ready 
• Supporting leadership teams and various departments when necessary, being a hands-on team player 
• Coaching teammates on delivering world class experiences 
• Providing constructive feedback when appropriate - escalating any issues to the venue leadership team 
• Ensuring teammates receive a proper induction and any training necessary
• Assisting with TOCA Talents events 
• Supporting venue operations during events or with VIP/high profile guests to create awesome experiences 
• Owning sections/departments at popular times and being able to perform all venue roles & responsibilities 
• Effectively communicating (written or verbally) with all guests and teammates e.g. stock levels, performance, standards, box demos etc
• Owning daily reporting and briefings 
• Developing other teammates skills for future career progression and knowledge sharing 
• Leading new opportunities/initiatives, encouraging teammate support 
• Encouraging teammate best practice to meet the TOCA Social standards at all times 

Qualifications & Experience:

• A confident and outgoing team player with 1-2 years supervisory experience within hospitality, or at least 1 year of experience as a senior teammate at TOCA Social.
• A punctual and reliable individual with a great attitude and work ethic!
• The ability to thrive under pressure whilst maintaining a can-do and guest first attitude 
• A hands on individual who’s willing to support the team and venue leadership 
• Someone passionate about developing themselves and teammates to deliver outstanding experiences 
• Flexibility to work across evenings and weekends 
• A willingness to support teammates across the venue and in varying departments where necessary 
• Individuals with a vibrant presence on the venue floor and are ready to support teams where needed, maintaining a warm and friendly manner at all times.
• A quick learner with the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
