Our client, a prestigious boarding school based in Milnthorpe, is looking for an enthusiastic Cleaner to join their team from Monday 4th November on a temp to perm basis. The hours are Monday - Friday, 3pm - 6pm. 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:



  • Clean designated areas of the school site as assigned by the cleaner in charge.

  • Follow instructions from the Site Manager regarding the use of cleaning materials.

  • Utilise cleaning machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and polishers, to ensure both soft and hard surfaces are sparkling clean.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding school-related matters, respecting the importance of sensitive information.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.


    • Key duties include:



  • Vacuuming both hard and soft floors.

  • Swiftly spot cleaning any spillages.

  • Wiping and polishing furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, and door glass.

  • Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling bins.

  • Ensuring toilets are thoroughly cleaned, including sanitary fittings and surrounds.

  • Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.

  • Maintaining the appearance of furniture by wiping, polishing, and straightening.

  • Restocking supplies in toilets and classrooms.

  • Checking windows and switching off lights at the end of each shift.

  • Assisting with other duties as allocated from time to time.


    • Requirements:



  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Knowledge of health and safety practises.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.
