About the Role:
One of my local government clients is looking for an experienced Cleaner to join their facilities and cleaning services team. This is a full-time temporary role covering 35 hours per week, operating within a rota system from 06:00 to 20:00.
You will play a key role in ensuring council buildings and public spaces are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising
*
Cleaning public areas, council buildings, offices, restrooms, and communal spaces
*
Ensuring cleaning supplies are stored and used safely
*
Reporting maintenance or health and safety issues
*
Adhering to all health and safety policies, especially relating to COVID-19 and hygiene protocols
*
Working independently or as part of a small team to meet service requirements
About You:
*
Previous experience as a cleaner, ideally in public buildings or commercial environments
*
Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours
*
Able to follow cleaning schedules and procedures with minimal supervision
*
Strong awareness of health and safety and COSHH regulations
*
Must have a DBS!!
*
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering a clean and safe environment
