HOURS: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 9am-2pm & Wed 9am-1pm (24 hours per week) Main Purpose of Job To clean to a high standard all internal common areas as directed by the Property Manager. Main Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are to be carried out, however, this list is not exhaustive as there may be other tasks which you will be required to undertake from time to time. To follow the Higham House Cleaning Checklist and Cleaning Specification each week. (Copies have been attached separately to JD) These duties include: Fully clean West Wing Concierge area:
Clean front door. Clear entrance area of cobwebs. Vacuum entrance mat. Sweep and mop floor. Clean sofa. Remove dust from sills, ledges, skirtings, fire alarm panels, pictures, light fittings and desk and marble desk top counter. Polish all chrome surfaces (bars, door surrounds, sockets and signs). Remove cobwebs from ceiling-corners. Fully clean East Wing lobby area: Clean front door. Clean front windows, inside and out. Clear entrance area of cobwebs. Vacuum clean entrance mat. Sweep and mop floor. Clean sofa. Remove dust from sills, ledges, skirtings, fire alarm panels, pictures, light fittings and desk and marble desk top counter. Polish all chrome surfaces (bars, door surrounds, sockets and signs). Remove cobwebs from ceiling corners. Overall Duties:
Wipe over both entry phone units Clean both lifts including removing marks from mirrors and controls, polish stainless steel areas and vacuum lift tracks and floor to remove dust. Vacuum clean both ground floor corridors Polish all chrome and mirror surfaces in corridors (signs, sockets and doors) Litter pick the front areas, underground car park and service road, bike store, flower beds and pathways. Report any broken items or bulky items that have been dumped to Concierge. Weekly (or more frequently as necessary)
Clean windows to both entrances, inside and out. Remove dust from sills, ledges, skirtings and pictures on all floors. Vacuum clean all communal corridors and stairwells. Polish handrails. Clean corridor doors including kick plates, finger plates and glass panels. Remove cobwebs from ceiling corners. Remove bins in ground floor refuse store and tidy, sweep and disinfect as necessary. Rotate bins between basement and ground floor refuse stores by use of the refuse store lift, ensuring that all full bins are in ground floor refuse store before collection day. Sweep the bike store area. Clean Concierge welfare area.
Monthly (or more frequently as necessary)
Sweep underground car park. Remove bins in basement refuse store and tidy, sweep and disinfect as necessary.
Quarterly (or more frequently as necessary) Clean interior and exterior surfaces of all communal windows Conditions of Work You are required to use cleaning materials which have been supplied by the Company only (please follow Health & Safety guidelines, COSHH).
General You are expected to be flexible and undertake reasonable additional duties as required by the Concierge or Property Manager. To report any defect or health and safety concern, no matter what its nature, to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Whilst on duty you should be of tidy personal appearance, and wearing the uniform and identification badge provided.
